Kyocera Printer Test Page
Kyocera calls its built-in report the Status Page, and reaches it from System Menu on touchscreens and from Report Print on two-line panels. A few ECOSYS models will print it from the green Go key with no menu at all.
Set scaling to 100%. Choose Actual Size in the print dialog, never Fit to page — scaling distorts every measurement on this sheet. The Download PDF button hands you that same sheet as a ready-made file, so there is no scaling decision to get wrong.
How to print the Kyocera Printer Test Page
- Load plain white paper and set quality to Best or High.
- Set scaling to Actual Size or 100%, then print this sheet.
- Print the Status Page from the table above and keep both sheets.
- Take status — toner, drum life, page counts, IP address — from the Kyocera report only.
- Judge density, fine lines and repeating marks on this sheet.
- Change one variable at a time and reprint the same file so the difference is attributable.
Built-in test page by model series
| TASKalfa, ECOSYS MFP, FS-MFP, touch panel | System Menu or Menu → Report → Report Print → Status Page → Yes |
| Two-line text display, FS and ECOSYS | Menu → Report Print → Status Page → OK |
| Go button on FS-1041, FS-1060dn | Hold GO for about five seconds to print the Status Page |
| ECOSYS P2235 series | Press and hold the green Go key for three to nine seconds |
| Command Center RX in a browser | Open the printer’s IP address → print reports from the web interface |
Reading the result
| Status Page and this sheet both print cleanly | Engine, driver and consumables are healthy. Anything left is in the document, its driver settings or the application. |
| Solids print light or mottled | Toner is low or the drum is at end of life. Kyocera reports both figures on the Status Page, but only this sheet shows whether the drum still lays down evenly. |
| Fine lines vanish at small sizes | Density is too low for a narrow stroke. Raise it one step, reprint, and stop as soon as the lines hold without wasting toner. |
| A repeating mark runs down the page | Measure the repeat against the drum circumference. Kyocera drums are separately replaceable, and the pattern distinguishes a worn drum from an exhausted cartridge without opening the machine. |
| The Status Page prints but this sheet does not reach the printer | The machine is proven and the queue is not. Check the port and spooler, then reprint from a second application to confirm which side the fault sits on. |
Also check
- Black and white page — Density and text sharpness on their own, which covers almost everything a mono Kyocera can get wrong.
- Grayscale test page — A toner ramp shows where a low cartridge begins to fail, something the Status Page percentage never predicts.
- Alignment page — Registration and skew are independent of toner life, so this sheet stays valid long after the cartridge has been changed.
Related test pages
- B&W printer test page — Removing colour from the equation isolates density, toner coverage and fine detail problems.
- Greyscale printer test page — A grey ramp with no colour in it makes tonal problems, colour casts and scaling errors impossible to miss.
- Laser printer test page — Laser faults live in density, fusing and geometry, and none of them involve nozzles. This sheet measures how evenly toner is laid down and whether it stays on the paper.
Frequently asked questions
How do I print a Status Page on a Kyocera printer?
On a touchscreen ECOSYS or TASKalfa, press System Menu or Menu, choose Report, then Report Print, then Status Page, and confirm with Yes. On a two-line display, use Menu, then Report Print, then Status Page, then OK.
Can I print a Kyocera Status Page with the Go button?
On some FS and ECOSYS models yes — hold the green Go key for around five seconds, or three to nine seconds on the P2235 series, and the Status Page feeds out. Machines without that behaviour need the menu route.
What does the Kyocera Status Page contain?
Toner and drum life, page counts, installed options, network settings and firmware version. It answers how much life is left, not how good the image is, which is what the patterned sheet here measures.
Where is Print Test Page for Kyocera in Windows?
Devices and Printers, right-click the queue, choose Printer properties — not the plain Properties entry — then Print Test Page on the General tab. The Kyocera driver installer also offers the same check at the end of setup.
How do I see my Kyocera printer status over the network?
Open the printer’s IP address in a browser to reach Command Center RX, where consumable and network status live. It is a convenient alternative to walking to the machine, but it reads the same counters as the Status Page and is equally silent about print quality.
